		"I am colourblind, specifically, I have deuteranopia. The most co",
		"mmon cause of deutan is a mutation in the OPN1MW gene, the gene ",
		"that encodes the green cone pigment. I wanted this piece to rais",
		"e awareness about colourblindness, as it's not often represented",
		" in popular media and so most people generally can't grasp just ",
		"how much it affects my day to day life. With some help from Whee",
		"ls (As they have full colour vision), I've edited this image of ",
		"a pink desert rose that I photographed early this year to show t",
		"he sharp contrast between full colour vision\u2014as you can see in",
		" the desert rose in the background \u2014 and what I can actually s",
		"ee\u2014the desert rose and the leaves in the foreground."

		"Other than Wheels helping with the colour, I composited this ima",
		"ge through CSP using separate layers. I ran the original image t",
		"hrough Coblis Colourblindness, and after Wheels confirmed that t",
		"he colouration of the images was different (As both the original",
		" and the filtered image look exactly the same to me), I composit",
		"ed them together using an eraser on a separate layer. Then, I sh",
		"aded a vignette in blue and desaturated it in order to bring the",
		" focus towards the desert rose. "

		"What you\u2019re seeing now is the second version of Violet\u2019s sub",
		"mission. I offered to help her with it, to better illustrate the",
		" contrast between full-colour vision and her deuteranopia. So I ",
		"added the diagonal cutaways, and coloured gradients. My edits we",
		"re made in Clip Studio Paint Pro, and done with masking layers a",
		"nd a gradient texture. I had to go in and airbrush more because ",
		"the dithering of the gradient texture was causing the image to r",
		"ender improperly on most displays."
